    Menzoberranzan - The Sourcebook

It was announced on the WotC site. I didn't get to work on this book, directly, but I did have my hands on it in another fashion--one you will just have to wait to see! Anyways, no spoilers from me (NDA) but this book will be a major score for all Realms fans.

I cannot wait for this one to come out! I am a huge Drow fan and an even bigger underdark fan, so this will be a major score for me.

Matt, whatever you worked on with this book, THANK YOU!

I am really excited to see more source material that would seem to be geared at the paragon and epic tiers. The drow have never been my favorite but with most of my players they are tops so that is a good thing. There is also a wealth of great source material from previous editions to use in addition to the new Menzo Sourcebook. Of course the idea of a few themes for both drow characters and perhaps like an escaped slave theme for other races is exciting. Anyway, I can't wait for this.

This is good news all around. Glad you had a hand in it Matt and I'm looking forward to reading this book.
Realmslore is a lot like a fractal: the thinner you slice it the more details you get. This is why there are no absolutes in the Realms.

Should you find the answer to a Realmslore question, you haven't established the truth of anything. Rather, you've found a way to open a door that was previously closed to you.

Once you step through that door and have a look around, you'll find a new room with more doors on the other side, waiting for you to figure out how to open them.

(And people wonder why adventurers go poking around in dungeons!)

My contribution was in the form of a sister-product. The designers on this did a good job. When they release their names, I'll bring it back up

    Cool

A sister product, eh? If it's all Realms that's even better news.

But like you say, when they say more then we can talk more about it, right?

I'm hoping I'll finally have an opportunity to utilise some of the neat stuff included in this new book in my ramblings for the next session [late-March] of the campaign I'm currently running.

Not quite sure what I'll use, yet. I only know I want to draw from this material because there's a lot of cool stuff that can really bring life to a potential side-quest into the Underdark -- especially for the several players in my group who may have became disenchanted with how the dark realms have been presented in the past.
